He has fluffy brown hair, puppy brown eyes and a sweet grin. Whilst he's not a sporty person to say the least he prides himself on his fast metabolism that means he can eat a cow and he wouldn't put on a pound. He carries himself with a bounce, wears clothes fitting for a man his apparent age, and always appears to be youthful. Being a demon he does have a few smooth scales along his shoulder, which he's turned into a tattoo. PB Lee Pace Personality In short Darwin is blunt, childish, sensitive, encouraging, brilliant, frustrating and intelligent. His moods come with what energies he's feeling which is mostly consisting of 'go go go!' and his mind processes almost a hundred thoughts a minute. His attention span isn't quite contained, but he always completes projects - if he can remember he started them. He's a keen science buff, sprouting out medical, biology and physics jargon at every opportunity. That's the way his mind works and it's taken him all through his 80+years of travelling. He knows magic exists, but it's the human form of explanation that he's fascinated by. He adores the stars and frequently sits for hours mapping the sky at night (he doesn't sleep much). Whilst he does appear to be very smart Darwin knows that he can be annoying and plays up this frequently. He's a flirt, a cockblock, obnoxious and sure of himself on the outside. He enjoys playing up to this image having been honoured with it at school, but get him alone and Darwin is quite nice, honest and down to Earth. If you get a moment alone with him, then you can be sure he likes you. If you have boobs that's almost a given. He's too busy to suffer fools, and he won't spend any time talking intimately if you are one (unless you have boobs... just to re-iterate). He prides himself on his ability to talk to women, unlike many men, and he can pretty much hold a conversation with anyone. His intelligence has been well and truly hidden in favour of playing the fool, an act he's perfected over the years. He's had his fingers in many pies, sometimes to his detriment and while he's running from a dark past he knows that if he looks forward he can at last get back to normal. Background Darwin had a happy childhood, shared with his younger sister Lucinda. They were a incredibly tight-knit group, involving the family of his Uncle Gregory. Darwin was especially close to Blake, his cousin, as they were quite close in age and the typical 'boys' of the group. It was probably this that meant when Blake was sent away to war, Darwin became quite reclusive. The war had been bad enough already, having to hide out and help those around them, face the agony of being called a coward as he'd not signed up but there was no way Darwin would ever go to war and leave his family to fend for themselves. After World War Two ended, and when Darwin was only 23 he disappeared, much to the dismay of his family. Though they searched, nobody was able to find him until he returned home 39 years later. Darwin had left to try and find peace. England was recovering from the brutal war, and with Blake having returned home safely he felt it his duty to witness the restoration. It was during this he met his first wife Catalina Dubogna at 24, a Ukranian girl who he fell in love with after travelling with her throughout Western Europe, helping rebuild houses and people's health. Catalina was different, fiesty and just a little bit crazy now and then. She was jealous, possessive... three times Darwin was told that she was pregnant, only to have her lose the baby. He didn't realise that this went in line with his mention of desires to travel further afield. Unfortunately, having been intoxicated at the time of their nupitals, Darwin couldn't remember the agreement to settle down in Romania as she wished. They fought, and Catalina demanded various things but now regretting tying the knot so early on Darwin left Romania and fled to Poland, leaving nothing but a note behind. He stayed there for ten years mainly because he was well-loved and revered but also because the beautiful woman Hanna caught his eye. Unable to help himself they married in his 30th year, but five years later she left him for a another man, rich and powerful, and divorced poor Darwin without leaving him a penny. In 1957 Darwin arrived in Germany, where he was appointed as one of the physicians of a college in Munich. His work allowed him to continue travelling, even taking him to Australia for 12 months in 1962. He returned to Munich divorced for a 2nd time. Back in England his mother and father had searched, sent letters, tried to locate him but nobody was able to pin Darwin down. They received contact from several angry women, some claiming to be his wife, in various different languages but even those, eventually, stopped. Darwin returned home in 1984. He had not married since Australia, he had been appointed a Scholar in Munich, and he had helped saved thousands of lives through his travels and healing. Throughout his time he had also perfected the art of channeling his energies through Chi and he was, for all intents and purpsoes, a new man. He was multilingual, calm and profressional, and was building a career around education and healing. Such a shame, then, that Catalina arrived with a tiny little secret of her own... The family home was destroyed by a devastating fire that Catalina started in order to punish her husband. Catalina would not give up in her efforts to torment Darwin. She kept finding him, taunting him, would not relent; though he tried to speak with her she continued to try and harm him. In one final act of anguish she attempted to steal the newest addition, a baby to his sister. Darwin broke. One single burst of energy from inside the witch splintered every single cell her body held. It was the first person he had killed, and hopefully the last but Darwin was unconsolable. Gradually his calm left him. Though the family was able to get back to normal Darwin had itchy feet. He couldn't rest. He left his family once again and set out to America, where he tried to find a new life away from the memories of Catalina and destruction. He became more of a playboy, never stopping in one place. He required meditation daily to keep himself centered and he dabbled in more of his fair share of shady dealings. Acting more in the here and now than the past, Darwin has embraced the new, immediate culture of America and has thoroughly abused the English accent to woo, obtain and progress. After having a run in with a hunter or two Darwin found out the location of his dear cousin Blake, and will be shortly arriving on his doorstep. Abilities Being a 100% energy demon, Darwin can process his vast energies through chi, which in turn can manifest as strength, speed, durabiltiy and reflexes. Mostly he regenerates these energies into healing and has been known to replenish others' blood cells as well as his own to prolong his life even more. Weaknesses If Darwin doesn't take a moment to meditate each day to keep his energies in check, he can become a gibbering, over-energetic wreck.
